Gentlemen:

Can you believe it? People claiming to be Americans, exercising their constitutional right of free assembly in front of the Federal Building yester­day afternoon, actually cut down the American flag. its like a bad dream. Have these people any idea what would have happened to them had they cut down the Granada flag in that island nation, or the Russian flag in Moscow? I have visited many of the communist block nations, not as an official tourist, but simply going there on my own; I know what it really is like over there. I know the difference between freedom over her and life over there.

      Perhaps those demonstrators are ignorant of the facts.  For that there is a cure. But then again, maybe they are just stupid—for that, unfortunately, there is no cure!
